How can therapy help me?
Counselling offers you a safe space in a trusting relationship where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. It also allows you to try out different behaviors with low risk, and see if they bring you more effective results. Counselling is a unique experience where it is all about you. Depending upon the presenting issue, I will work with you to establish your own goals. For example, if you wish to manage your OCD, we will use psychoeducation to explain what OCD is and how it works. Then, I will use expose and response prevention (ERP) to help minimize the OCD.
